Weddings at Central Park Waterfall

Central Park Waterfall Wedding | NYC Officiant

Hidden within the quieter sections of Central Park, the park’s waterfalls offer one of the most unique and naturally secluded settings for a wedding ceremony in New York City. Unlike the open lawns and well-known landmarks, these tucked-away locations—particularly in the North Woods and The Ravine—create a setting that feels far removed from the city’s pace.

For couples looking to exchange vows in a space defined by sound, movement, and natural texture, a Central Park waterfall provides an atmosphere that’s difficult to replicate anywhere else in Manhattan.

Several areas of Central Park feature waterfalls, with the most notable located in the North Woods and The Ravine, near mid- to upper-park. These sections are intentionally designed to feel more like a forest landscape, with winding paths and elevation changes that lead to quiet, scenic overlooks.

Because these locations are less centralized:

They require a short walk to reach
Foot traffic is generally lighter
Timing is more flexible compared to high-profile landmarks

This makes them especially appealing for couples who prioritize atmosphere over convenience.
